Aline van Enckevort (1994) is a Dutch illustrator and artist known for her vibrant use of color, intricate details, and elegant storytelling. Her work balances playful, feminine energy with themes of nature, human connection, and the quiet beauty of everyday life. After graduating from the University of the Arts in Utrecht in 2017, Aline worked in the dynamic world of fashion design for six years before stepping into the role of a full-time illustrator in 2023.
For Aline, art is more than a craft—it’s a sanctuary. Her creative process allows her to calm her mind, reflect on her mental health, and find stillness in a bustling world. Each piece becomes both an expression of her emotions and a barometer of her well-being. “I dive into a certain mood or emotion when I paint and aim to capture its essence. I often find inspiration in a state of sadness, melancholy or solace, they hold a certain beauty that I explore in my work.”
Aline’s work balances serene themes with playful narratives, such as her mischievous character, Gudrun. These stories, alongside her color studies of Kabocha, highlight her ability to transform ordinary moments into captivating visual tales. She divides her creative time between her home studio in Eindhoven and traveling with her partner, in search of inspiration, sunlight, and new stories to tell.
Whether through original artwork, commissions, or collaborative projects, her work invites viewers to pause, feel, and connect. She paints with emotion and intention, creating timeless works that bridge personal expression and universal themes. Through her art, she captures the beauty of life’s quiet moments in her signature style. Offering a glimpse into a world where colors, textures, and stories merge into something timeless and universal.
